Easter Happenings in Bolingbrook, IL

Spring’s barely a week old, and we couldn’t be happier for the return of its longer days, warmer weather, and those delicious Cadbury Mini Eggs (yes, we’re hooked). Get them and other Easter favorites while you can—the holiday’s already here! A bit earlier than year’s past, Easter’s quick arrival might have taken you by surprise, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of options still out there. In and around Bolingbrook, you can make it a brunch for two or the whole crew, then dip a toe in the water of other fun things you might do.

For ham, eggs, and all the elaborate extras, consider Champagne Easter Brunch at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Sunday seatings are select and going fast, so be sure to call ahead for availability. And though Sunday tee time might be booked at nearby Boughton Ridge, there are still 10:00 AM openings at Ashbury's Easter Brunch. Omelette and carving stations are just the start to their holiday spread, but you’ll want to hop to it. This last seating time is sure to fill up fast, too!

Before or after brunch on the greens, there’s an assortment of holiday themed entertainment to be found in and around home. Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro Shops run through 4:00 PM on Sunday (Friday and Saturday times are also available), and little ones 2-10 can hop into an egg hunt from 1:30-2:00 PM that afternoon. The same age group can get a watery warm-up with Parkie’s Egg Hunt the Friday before, where a pool-based alternative will make a sure splash and impression.

9-13 year olds will find fun (and hopefully some treats) at Knoch Knolls Park’s Flashlight Egg Hunt from 7:30-8:15 PM on Thursday evening, March 29, while egg hunt traditionalists of all ages can take to the terrain at Naperville Safety Town’s Hoppy Easter Festival on Saturday, March 31. The festival makes a great option for those who’d rather reserve Sunday for at-home time with family, and it features everything you might want (plus a whole lot more). Live bunnies, vendors, and photo ops; it’s the catch all and sure-bet of nearby attractions.

Even last-minute, it’s great to have selection, and no matter your brood or personal tastes, there’s an Easter option nearby just for you. Give your favorite spot a ring and see what’s on the agenda or choose from our featured favorites—with the right company of family and friends, there’s no going wrong!

Weekend Happenings

Had enough family for one week? We’ve been there too, and we just might be there with you at any of the adult-only outlets on the docket this week. You can swing by The Beer Market for their signature music bingo or indulge in wine pairings at any of multiple, areas events. Three cheers for a fantastic week ahead!

Bunnies are cuddly

The large and the small

But I like chocolate ones

The best of them all.
